My Story.
During my successful 15 year career in technology, I often managed and mentored people from all kinds of backgrounds and life experiences. I regularly witnessed women struggle through trying to manage the great expectations society placed upon them.
A traumatic childbirth changed the course of my life dramatically.
After giving birth to my first child, my life changed dramatically. I suffered chronic pain, gained a lot of weight and I developed accessibility needs that I had never had before.
Eventually, I was diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction and a double prolapse. I saw lots of medical specialists, and learned more about the pelvic floor than I ever thought possible!
I eventually underwent major surgery for my conditions.
Women deserve better, don't they?
During my journey, I had first hand experience of how deeply neglected women’s health and wellbeing often is and how little most people know about the pelvic floor. Women deserve better!
That is why I became a Women's Health Coach and Strength Trainer, I was even able to rehabilitate myself after prolapse repair surgery with the important knowledge I gained. Focussing on my core, improving my physical strength and developing the right habits saved my life.
When I got out of hospital after prolapse repair surgery, I couldn't even pick up a cup of tea without feeling pain in my pelvic floor!
Now I strength train regularly, eat well and live a high energy lifestyle.
